At this time, the development of mathematics has been growing rapidly. Therefore, knowledge of mathematics should be adjusted with the development of the age. The problem is, as a globalization era we must be able to speak English, and as a student of mathematics education we must communicate the mathematic learning in English. So to become a good student and a good teacher in the future we must able to understand about how to communicate mathematics education in English. And it is a modality to learn mathematics in English:
- Communicate :
In this sub topic, we must to hear, to talk, to write, to read, and to translate/understand mathematics education in English.
- Mathematics :
Mathematics has many sub topic, they are algebra, arithmetic, geometry, calculus, statistics, trigonometry, and ICT. So, we must understand mathematics.
- Mathematics education :
Mathematics education must be consist of teachers, students, methods, resources (facilities and teaching aid), classroom and teaching learning process. Teaching learning process consist of: motivation, apperception, competence, indicators, evaluation/assessment, preparation, lesson plan, student worksheet, discussion, classical teaching, paradigm, theory, and constructivist.
- English :
It contains:
Formal → standard → writing and speaking
Informal → writing and speaking
